Learn Kanji
YOUR Kanji of the Year
Kanji are Chinese logographic characters used in Japanese writing. They are one of the three writing systems used in the Japanese language, alongside hiragana and katakana. Kanji are complex symbols that represent ideas or entire words, composed of a combination of lines and strokes that convey meaning.
At the Learn Kanji booth, participants will have the opportunity to choose one of the existing kanji to reproduce. These are written in a specific order essential for correctly reproducing the kanji and avoiding confusion with similar characters. This activity is ideal for those who want to learn more about Japanese writing and practice their calligraphy skills. Participants will be able to choose their own kanji of the year, reflecting their wishes and goals for that year.
