Ofuda

Ofuda is an amulet or talisman used in the Japanese Shinto religious tradition. It is usually a small sheet of paper or wooden plaque on which sacred names, divine symbols, or religious texts are written or printed. Ofuda is considered a manifestation of the divine spirit and is used to protect homes or individuals who possess it from negative energies and calamities.

At the Ofuda booth, volunteers will give people a brief presentation on what ofuda means and offer them the chance to create their own talisman. This activity provides a unique opportunity to learn about Japanese religious traditions and create a personalized talisman for protection and luck.
