Teru Teru Bozu

Teru Teru Bozu is a small handmade traditional doll originating from the Edo period in Japan, made from white paper or cloth. Japanese farmers began hanging it outside their windows on a string, believing it worked as an amulet to stop the rain and bring good weather.

At the Teru Teru Bozu booth, people will be able to create their own lucky amulet. They have several colored markers to choose from, and using their imagination, they can create a unique teru-teru bozu. To make it, a tissue is folded into a ball, another tissue is placed over it, and it is tied at the neck with a colored elastic. Finally, people can draw their face.
