Sake Tasting
(Traditional Japanese Drink)
Sake is a traditional Japanese alcoholic beverage made from fermented rice. Often referred to as “Japanese rice wine,” its brewing process is actually more similar to beer. With a history spanning over a thousand years, sake plays an important role in Japanese ceremonies, festivals, and everyday meals. There are many types of sake, each with unique flavors, sweetness levels, and alcohol content depending on the brewing method and rice variety used.
At the tasting activity, participants will have the chance to sample a selection of carefully chosen Japanese sake varieties. Volunteers will share insights about the origin of each sake, the proper way to enjoy it, and how it pairs with different types of food. It’s an elegant and educational experience for those eager to explore the refined world of traditional Japanese drinks.
The tasting is only available for participants aged 18 and over.
