Amita Suman was born on 19 July 1997 in Bhedihari, Nepal, and moved to Brighton, England at the age of seven. She graduated from the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in 2018 and began her career in British drama, with a recurring role in The Outpost (2019-2021) and guest appearances in Doctor Who and The Sandman. She is best known as Inej Ghafa in the Netflix series Shadow and Bone (2021-2023) and stars as Claudette Caron in NCIS: Tony & Ziva (2025).
