Patrick Gibson was born Patrick Leo Kenny-Gibson on 19 April 1995 in Dublin, Ireland. He grew up in Greystones, Stillorgan and Donnybrook and studied philosophy at Trinity College Dublin before leaving in 2016 to film The OA. He won the Rising Star award at the 2017 Irish Film & Television Academy Awards and is known for The Tudors (2009), The OA (2016-2019), The White Princess (2017), Tolkien (2019), Prince Nikolai Lantsov in Shadow and Bone (2023) and the title role in Dexter: Original Sin (2024-2025).
